Over a long duration of time, I made innumerable searches on all major search engines on how to configure wireless router for broadband connection. Nothing bore results! But then I had found a solution and chose to pen it down on my own.
Configuring your WiFi router to Reliance broadband is quite easy. However, if you call the Customer Service on 1800-3000-7777, they will deny helping you with the configuration as it is time consuming on their part. Additionally, they mention that their broadband service does not support any WiFi router to be installed with the modem.
Being technology-driven, I found the simplest way to configure the WiFi router with the modem provided by the broadband internet providers.
Reliance generally supplies modems from ZTE, Huawei or Binatone. I have tested the process with my Binatone DT-820 modem with TP-LINK WDR-4300 router gigabit.
Pre-Process arrangement for Reliance broadband WiFi configuration:

If both are different, then follow the steps mentioned below to configure the router with Reliance Broadband.

- You will need to note down the LAN IP of both the WiFi and the modem.

If both are different, then follow the steps mentioned below to configure the router with Reliance Broadband.
Configuration of WiFi router with Reliance Broadband:
- Open your router homepage mentioned on your router and login.
- Select your WAN connection type as Dynamic IP.
- Clone the MAC address of your computer.
- RESTART both the router and the modem.
- Check if the WiFi router has connected to the DNS Server. When connected, the details will be filtered and filled on their own as shown in the image below.
- If not connected, wait and allow the server to connect.
- You will see a screen similar to the one shown in the image below where no details are shown except for 0s.
- Click on RENEW button to let the router reconnect.
- Wait for 15 minutes and follow the same steps as mentioned above.
- Once you are connected, open Reliance Broadband homepage.
- Login with your User-ID and password.
You should be connected now!
