You may need to change the LAN IP of your WiFi router may a times for various reasons e.g., if have modem provided by your Internet Service Provider (ISP) and you want to customize your IP, when you want to configure your WiFi router, etc. 

You can follow the simple steps mentioned here to change the LAN IP of your WiFi router:
  • Note the LAN IP of your WiFi router. It is always mentioned in the User Manual of the WiFi router. If you do not have it with you, then you can find out in this way:
    1. Run CMD as Administrator (Win+X)
    2. Type "ipconfig"
    3. The details are shown on the CMD window as shown below:
    4. The Default Gateway under Wireless LAN adapter Wi-Fi will reveal you LAN IP



          Now, you are ready to change the LAP IP of your WiFi router.
  • Open your router homepage mentioned on your router and login.


  • Change the LAN IP to 192.168.1.XXX. As an example, I changed it as 192.168.0.1.
